Bus Worms?

While driving home from work I was following one of the large Reno buses.  The kind with an accordion like device in the midsection that allows the giant buses to take corners.

For some very odd reason they reminded me of the sand worms from Dune.  With the very big difference that gas is nothing like Spice. And, you know, the buses are metal and sneak up from around corners not pop out of the ground à la giant worms.
